ACE Graduate - Shannon Percival

The ACE Buddy grant was created to help the employees of covered entities become 340B ACE certified. The ACE Buddy Grant partially funds the cost of the Apexus 340B Certificate (or 340B ACE certification) and provides a CaptureRx ACE certified expert to act as a mentor – or ‘buddy’.

The covered entities participating employee and the CaptureRx ‘buddy’, work together to analyze modules, create study guides, and discuss different aspects of the Apexus 340B course.

One of our latest ACE Buddy graduates is Shannon Percival from Valley Regional Hospital. Shannon graduated from the Apexus 340B certification with the help of her CaptureRx ‘buddy’, Natasha Olo.

We interviewed Shannon to discuss why she chose to become ACE certified and to ask about her experience with the ACE Buddy program.

Here is that transcript:

1.How was your overall experience with the ACE Buddy program?

” I am so grateful to have been a part of this program! I am a very self-directed learner but it was so nice to have Natasha on standby if I had questions.”

2. What did you choose to get ACE certified?

“I wanted to be able to give our 340B program the expertise that would allow our hospital to ensure compliance and maximize our benefit: so we can do what we do best, take care of our patients and our community.

3. Has the ACE certification helped you in your day-to-day work life??

It has! I have already made changes to our program to be in line with the industry’s best practices.

4. Tell us a bit about yourself – what are some hobbies you enjoy?

“I have been working in 340B for the last 3 years at a small critical access hospital in my home state of New Hampshire. In November of 2020, despite the pandemic, I married my best friend Patryck. I am a major book nerd and I love to travel.

Here at CaptureRx, we’re committed to continuously support the missions of covered entities. The ACE Buddy program is just one example of how we do that.
