CaptureRx was honored in October 2018 to be named one of the Top Workplaces in San Antonio by San Antonio Express-News and Energage, an independent research firm. Companies awarded this honor are selected based on employee survey responses covering a variety of workplace topics, including company values, leadership, communications, working atmosphere, training and development opportunities and managerial skills. The Top Workplaces designation is determined by employees answering positively to specific questions measuring motivation, referrals and commitment to the company.
On Monday, October 15, CaptureRx help a Top Workplaces Celebration for all employees. The goal of the celebration was to thank employees for their 2018 contributions and let them know THEY are the reason CaptureRx is a top workplace. Yes, we are proud of our proprietary software and the new Cumulus 4 platform. But we know it is our people that differentiate us in the market. Our people are what make our unique and special culture and it is our culture that enables us to further our mission and retain valued employees.
The day started with employees arriving at work to find company logo T-shirts on their desks packaged with a ribbon and a thank you note. At CaptureRx, we love our logo items and employees proudly wear our T-shirts to work and on the weekends.
Next employees logged in and sent or received their first email to find the Top Workplaces logo had been added to employee email signatures.
Later that morning, employees made their way to a banquet room next door and were greeted by a balloon arch of our orange and blue company colors. Employees were treated to a lunch of salad and pizza.
The celebration was hosted by CaptureRx President and CEO, Christopher Hotchkiss and Training Manager, Willie Wibert. In their opening remarks, Chris and Willie pointed out that CaptureRx is a top workplace because of its employees. Our people make our culture and our culture makes CaptureRx what it is.
Special guests included representatives from our PEO Insperity who presented Mr. Hotchkiss with a plaque congratulating the company for receiving the top workplace recognition.
Chief Human Resources Officer, Becky Simeon, spoke about the company’s employee-centric culture pointing out the most common words CaptureRx employees used in the survey to represent inspiring and engaging aspects of the culture included “collaborative,” “inviting,” “commitment,” “comfortable,” “values,” “maturing,” and “dedicated.” Approximately 93 percent of CaptureRx employees participated in the survey, significantly higher than the benchmark of 67 percent.
The heart of the celebration came when employees were invited to share why CaptureRx is a top workplace and share their personal mission and how CaptureRx has played a role in enabling them.
Many very touching testimonials were given about how CaptureRx has personally touched the lives of employees and their families. Stories were shared of how CaptureRx has gone above and beyond to show compassion and care for employees during times of special needs. Examples were given of how the 340B program has helped family members pay for prescriptions during times of critical illness. One employee expressed appreciation for the company taking care of employees so employees could take care of customers. Another employee commented on how the company had enabled her to gain confidence through the supportive environment.
Reactions included tears, applause and an overall sense of pride to work for a company with a mission of enabling the mission of others.
A great time was had by all and we hope to repeat in 2019!
